The apartment

It is a two-room flat of about 40 sq. metres. It is quiet and very brightly.

It is provided with modern furniture and it can accommodate 3 people maximum.

It is composed of a double bedroom and a single loft-bed in the same room, the bathroom with a shower and a living room with a kitchenette.

The kitchenette is fully equipped and the house is also equipped with: bedding, towels, colour television, video recorder, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, washing machine, oven.

The district

Testaccio suburb is in the historical centre of the city of Rome, situated on the left side of the river Tiber. It is the southern section of the capital between the Aurelian walls and the Tiber.

Testaccio has always been the meeting point for the roman people; carnival parties and religious feast used to take place during Middle Ages.

The artificial hill 30 metres high, called during ancient times Mons Testaceus, nowadays Monte dei Cocci is very famous and it is the result of the amphorae unloading of the close Port of Rome, Ostium (Ostia). Anphorae were used as containers for tributes payed by all Roman provinces.

Testaccio is seat of a nice everyday open market and it is an area supplied with bars, pizzerias, trattorias, restaurants, typical restaurants, night-clubs, cinemas and theatres. It gives many different opportunities at day and night both.

It developes under one of the seven historical hills of Rome, the Aventine hill that gives hospitality to several of the most ancient pre-christian churches and the Parco degli aranci, Oranges Park with its nice panoramical view of Rome and the Parco delle Rose, Roses Park with the possibility to reach very easily the Circus Maximus, the Palatine hill, the Colosseum and the Roman forum.
